4 reasons businesses on carrotleads keep their promises!

carrotleads.com is an online version of bricks and mortar spotters fee arrangement between businesses and networkers/middlemen. Our aim at carrotleads is to quicken growth in our business clients and reward our networkers, both of which will help us grow, a WIN-WIN-WIN solution.

Networkers have a justified fear of being played out of their rightful cut of a deal and it's natural the same fear gets voiced in the online space. In addition to the lost commission is the sense of wasted effort, the time spent prospecting a lead and sharing it with a business. This fear is justified and we have detailed below the mechanisms on carrotleads to ensure promises are kept.

1. We have contractual legal agreements in place with businesses using our platform.

This means businesses are legally bound to keep the promises made in their profile. These promises are also reflected in the communication sent when a lead is given. Businesses who "Accept" a lead to get access to the prospect's contact details are making an explicit promise again to keep their promise.
If you are aware of a business not keeping its promise, please bring it to our attention on the platform. Alternatively, email me at shabu@carrotleads.com. Based on individual cases, we can explore legal avenues to persuade the errant business to correct its ways. This may include but not limited to
a. a polite communication reminding them of their moral and legal obligations,
b. a legal notice to keep their obligations
c. filing of a case in judicial court to claim damages

Alternatively, we are willing to provide documentary evidence to support any legal action undertaken by the networker in his/her individual capacity.

2. Protection offered by our Ratings & Review process

Networkers and businesses have the freedom to rate each other at the end of a lead's lifecycle which occurs when a lead gets marked as converted or unrealised by a business. Networkers can forcibly terminate a lead after a set time period, in rare situations, if a lead hasn't been actioned by a business.
A rating process get triggered at the end and ratings are done without knowledge of the opposite rating. Ratings need to be done within a set period from the end of a lead.
Our algorithms that auto match businesses to leads pay significant attention to the rating criteria. Networkers who provide direct lead are also advised to consider the ratings. Businesses that rate bad are provided with reasonable warnings and eventually ejected from the system.

3. Safety via Anonymity

The ability to remain anonymous on carrotleads when interacting with a business is a significant strength. In general, a business could act in bad faith when they think they can get away with it. This happens when they know the other party, their strengths/weaknesses and associated risks.
When an anonymous referral is provided, the business is deprived of this information. A business may have self-referred the lead as a networker( to access the rewards as a discount ) or a party close to the business action may have referred the lead.
Businesses acting in bad faith risk success in the specific business opportunity in addition to unknown risks to their reputation in the wider market.
Networkers can unmask their identity on success of a lead.

4. Self interest

The biggest reason for businesses to keep their promises though is self-interest. Our clients use carrotleads to grow and wish to encourage more quality leads. The best way to do so is to convert qualified leads and keep their promises. More quality leads means less cold calls, more focus on closing deals and working on their core business. All this translates to improved growth and happy businesses.

We are yet to come across a client not keeping their promises or even hint at it. On the contrary our clients have shown a willingness to pay a goodwill fee for qualified leads even when they are not successful in closing a deal.

In a nutshell, we have systems in place that encourage businesses to do the right thing. So please relax and continue sharing publicly available information as leads.
